Margaret and Cam are the co-ordinators of the show, which has a 10-year history and returns after being sidelined through the COVID years of 2020 and 2021.
The show is being held at the Lake Road headquarters of Kyabram Senior Citizens Club on Friday, October 28.
The event has raised many thousands of dollars for a variety of Kyabram charities and this year the funds will be directed to a new group, the Kyabram and District Dementure Group.
Again in 2022, Allan Street florist Sue Wally and her Fab Flowers business will be the major sponsor of the garden club event.
Fab Flowers supplies the club with monthly vouchers for its competitions and are enthusiastic participants in the floral spectacular.
They will complete a display to be featured on the day.
Mr MacDermid said the event was not a show, but instead a display of flowers.
"Garden club members bring a fair bit of stuff and I raid the rose growing properties that surround Kyabram,” Mr Macdermid said.
“We have someone who brings in some orchids and we also have people bring their pot plants.”
There are expected to be 500-plus floral displays available for viewing, along with the usual trading tables.
The last major donation from the flower display was made to Neale Daniher’s MND Big Freeze fund raising initiative, a $1000 contribution.
“People pay $5 admission $5 and $3 for the Devonshire tea,” Mr Macdermid said.
“It’s a nice atmosphere and I encourage people to take the time to smell the roses.”
He said the flower display was a chance for people to sit down and compare gardening notes and was a great place to catch up.
The display operates from 10am-3pm on Friday, October 28.
He said the event would not be cancelled as there had already been three flower show cancellations in recent times.
“In these pretty ordinary times, this is a nice thing for people to do,” he said.
