Corowa District Landcare and West Hume Landcare will be hosting a free, all-day Stock Water Workshop on Thursday, May 2 at the Corowa Saleyards' new agriculture hub facility.
The workshop will equip local farmers with practical knowledge and tools to prepare their properties and stock for drier times, based on their calculated water usage and requirements.
This free event is open to all who are interested and will feature a panel of experts from Sapphire Irrigation Consulting, Local Land Services, Natural Resources Access Regulator, and the Rural Financial Counselling Service.
Participants will engage in discussions centered around stock and domestic water preparedness, including: understanding livestock water requirements, assessing current water storage capacities, evaluating water quality impact on livestock health and productivity, navigating regulatory considerations of dam construction, and exploring funding opportunities to enhance water infrastructure on farm.
The workshop will guide attendees in developing personalised Farm Water Management Plans for their properties, empowering them to take proactive measures.
Spaces for this free workshop are limited and participants will need to register.
Registrations can be made at https://forms.office.com/r/uiexGamfng or by phoning Claire at Corowa District Landcare on 0417 858 533.
