Emergency services responded to a bushfire that started at a property near Kyabram on Thursday, November 27.
Six vehicles attended a property on Everard and Day Rds at about 11am to reports of a bushfire.
Upon arrival, the crew found an active grass and scrub fire and immediately began suppression efforts, a CFA spokesperson told the Free Press.
A community information notice was issued at 12.13pm via the VicEmergency app alerting residents in the near vicinity to the grass fire.
The notice stated there may be smoke visible from nearby communities and roads and firefighters would remain in the area while responding to the fire.
The fire was categorised as ‘small’ and was declared under control at 12.03pm.
There was no immediate threat to the community, and by 12.25pm the grass fire was declared to be safe.
