The Lake Road courts will be made available for anyone to come down to the lawn tennis courts and have a hit during the month of September.
There is no need to become a member until October, when competition starts. The club’s executive is encouraging people to grab a friend, come down and have some fun
In conjunction with the free tennis there are junior registration nights planned for Friday, September 13, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and on Friday, September 20, from 4.30pm to 6pm.
These two registration events are open to all junior players, from beginner to competition players. Hot shots tryouts will be held on September 20.
There will be a speed gun, target practice and various other games on September 20. Prizes for fastest serve, hit the target and games winners.
On the nights players will be able to register for Saturday morning junior competition
All juniors who sign up and pay their membership fees will go into the draw for a chance to win one of three prize packs. These will be drawn on the first Saturday of competition, with the first prize pack including a tennis racket.
