Gallery is ‘Making Space’ for fun with art

Every Thursday this month, the Edward River Art Society is hosting open art sessions at its gallery in the Deniliquin CBD.

The Making Space project provides an interactive art space in the gallery.

There will be gelli pads, paper punching, splashing ink and collage that members and visitors can play with and explore.

There will be guided sessions every Thursday in July from 10am to noon, and members of the public are welcome to come along and play.

These sessions are free to attend.

In July, the gallery space is dedicated to showing the art from ERAS members. Artworks may be available for purchase.

Future exhibition dates are as follows:

• August 6 to September 6 - Deniliquin Photography Club exhibition, incorporating the David Malin Astrophotography Exhibition.

• September 17 to October 18 - Birds of a Feather. Members are invited to exhibit artwork inspired by birdlife.

• October 24 to Christmas - Deck the Halls. Members will create art gifts and cards, which can be purchased for your friends and family.

The ERAS gallery is located at 58 Cressy St, Deniliquin, in the Multi Art Centre.
