During the week, musicians shared their talent at the walk-up stage, mingling with other country music fans, and traversing into town to check out Kyabram’s sights.
The main event took place over the weekend, beginning on Friday night with a bush dance and continuing Saturday and Sunday with Australian country musicians taking to the stage and entertaining the crowds.
Hundreds of festival-goers settled into their camping chairs, creating a sea of eager faces as they soaked up performances from beloved artists like Sandie Dodd, Lance Birrell, Evan Platschinda and many more.
Musician Vanessa Sanger even stepped off stage to join the line dancers down on the grass, singing all the while.
The Kyabram 1st Scouts continued their cherished annual tradition with their popular stall, keeping spirits high as festival-goers flocked to buy refreshing drinks and ice blocks, even in the crisp weather.
Festival committee president Allan Weeks said it was another successful year for the annual festival.
“It was really good. The walk-ups went over really well, and the bush dance on Friday night was exceptional,” Mr Weeks said.
Mr Weeks wished to thank all the sponsors from local businesses who supported the festival in making this year happen.
The week’s triumph took on a bittersweet tone when Mr Weeks announced during Sunday afternoon’s closing speeches that the festival would be indefinitely put on hold, and that this year’s instalment could be the last edition.
While tears flowed through the crowd at Mr Weeks' announcement, the true spirit of the festival community shone through, as many chose to savour every last note, dancing and singing until the very final moments of what may be the last Kyabram RV Country Music Festival.
