Despite sweltering heat, dedicated organisers quickly adapted by moving the festival indoors, ensuring the show could go on.

Girgarre Town Development committee chair Jan Smith said it was the biggest test the Moosic Muster had had to face.

For festival-goers, however, the venue change didn’t dampen their enthusiasm.

“I look around here and I’m amazed at the talent that’s unhidden in small communities,” Jan said.

After two days of music and community celebration, organisers announced the difficult decision to cancel the remaining Moosic Muster activities for safety reasons due to the catastrophic fire danger warning.
