Jones blasted 14 fours and three sixes in a superb, better than a-run-a-ball innings of 134, while Campbell struck 14 fours and two sixes in making 105 as the Flames posted a mammoth 3/311 off their 45 overs in the clash at Bamawm.
Jones faced 120 balls and occupied the crease for 189 minutes while Campbell’s century came off just 91 balls in 116 minutes.
The pair put on 202 for the second wicket after Jones and young Bohden Learmonth had set the mood for a healthy score with an opening stand of 72.
Learmonth made 23 off 45 balls in a 71-minute stay at the crease to again demonstrate he is a real talent.
In reply, BLU mustered 174 off 38.3 overs without ever threatening the Brigade score.
Sam Colvin with a dashing 69, which contained eight boundaries and three sixes, was the star with the bat for the home side while Scott Morris with 3/37 off nine overs and Jayden Rosin with 2/13 off three overs did best with the ball for the victors.
●Tongala’s batsmen again failed to deliver as their side crashed to its third successive loss.
Despite an opening stand of 25 between Darin Ohlsen and skipper Daniel Coombs and being 1/38 at one stage, Tongala dipped to 6/66 and was all out for a disappointing 112 in 39 overs.
Kirk Teasdale with 3/13 off nine overs and Zak McGregor with 3/29 off nine overs sliced through the upper order and only some defiance from Dylan Cunningham (20), Travis Johnstone with a top score of 27 and 14 from young Harley Reid saved the visitors from an even more embarrassing total.
Moama had its anxious moments covering the Tongala score with Leigh Haw’s unbeaten 18 and Billy Gallagher’s 29 proving to be match-saving knocks.
●In-form opener Clayton Holmes was again among the runs as Echuca South’s resurgence continued at the expense of Cooma.
Holmes, who opened the season with knocks of 49 and 77, slammed 87 off 76 balls in 87 minutes to propel South to 172.
New skipper Liam Barrett took 3/27 and Ethan Palma-Ludeman 3/35 to give Cooma’s batsmen a chance.
But only opener Steve Barrett took up the challenge as Echuca South posted its second successive win.
Barrett made 60 off 71 balls in 97 minutes and received most support from Ethan Palma-Ludeman (26) and Drew Barrett (23) but Cooma came up 25 runs short in its run chase.
●Echuca had the better of Rochester in the remaining clash at Echuca.
Batting first and led by Ben Fulford who made 73 off 115 deliveries, Echuca posted a competitive 6/217.
Fulford got plenty of support from Taylor Beard (46) and Brendan Moyle with 44.
Rochester was never a chance in reply, slipping to 4/35 at one stage before being dismissed for 109 in 32.1 overs.
Again it was Dylan Cuttriss with 37 who made the only worthwhile contribution to the Rochester score as Simon Maddox claimed 3/22 off six overs and Rylea Jones 2/15.
●This week the improved Echuca South hosts Fire Brigade, Cooma at home will be looking for its first win against Echuca, Tongala takes on Rochester while BLU meets Moama.
