Heartless thieves target BlazeAid volunteer camp

“They stole a chainsaw donated by a volunteer, some petty cash...”

Mr Allen said they also stole around 40 snack packs that had been made up by a Numurkah local for the BlazeAid volunteers.

“They had little ‘thank you’ messages inside,” he said.

“It’s a sad thing to do.”

The theft has provoked angry and shocked comments on social media.

The police criminal investigation unit is investigating.
