Greater Shepparton’s Winter City Market is set to return to the CBD on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30, offering two days of family entertainment and retail therapy.
The event will feature extended trading hours, with stores open from 10am to 6pm on Friday and 9am to 3pm on Saturday.
Local retailers will offer exclusive deals, while the CBD comes alive with live music, family activities and dining options from local eateries.
Mayor Shane Sali expressed his support for the event.
“'The Winter City Market presents a fantastic opportunity to activate the local economy and enjoy our public spaces such as the Maude St precinct; it’s wonderful seeing the community coming together and exploring what the CBD has to offer,” he said.
A new addition to this year’s program is the Youth Talent Show, scheduled for Saturday from 10am to 1pm at the Maude St precinct.
Open to performers aged 5 to 25, participants can win a $50 gift card and sweet treats. Free registrations close Monday, August 25 at shepp.city/talentshow.
Other entertainment includes a jumping castle, ‘Activities in the Park’ games and boutique stalls.
Road closures will affect Maude St between Fryers St and High St, and partially impact Fraser St.
