The Kyabram Carols by Candlelight has been postponed to Monday, December 22 in response to a forecasted scorcher on the event’s original date.
The carols are jointly organised by three churches across the town for one special evening of singing, dancing and community festive spirit.
The evening kicks off at 5pm with family activities including a petting zoo, fun obstacle course for children, calming sensory area and creative craft activities for the little ones.
From 7.30pm, families spread out across the grass will hear classic Christmas carols from local school choirs, backed by the Rushworth and District Band and the Combined Churches House Band.
The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display, painting the night sky with colour from 9.30pm.
Food trucks, coffee vans and gelato vendors will provide refreshments throughout the evening.
For those eager to start their Christmas celebrations early, the neighbouring Rochester community warmly invites everyone to its community carols on Sunday, December 21 from 5.30pm at the junior football clubrooms on Reserve St.
