The BreastScreen NSW Van is coming to Finley and will be located at the old ambulance bay at Finley Hospital, 24 Dawe Avenue, from February 26 until March 28.
It is essential to book an appointment, and this can be done by visiting book.breastscreen.nsw.gov.au or call 13 20 50.
An appointment with BreastScreen NSW is free, takes less than 20 minutes and no doctor’s referral is needed.
Veronica Scriven, director BreastScreen NSW (Greater Southern), says a regular breast screen is one of the most important things women can do for their health.
“Detecting breast cancer early increases your chance of survival while reducing the likelihood of invasive treatment, such as mastectomy or chemotherapy,” she said.
Ms Scriven says having a BreastScreen NSW van in Finley makes it easier for women to attend their recommended two-yearly screening.
The mobile clinic visiting Finley is equipped with a lift system to support women with health conditions or disability to have their mammogram.
Women with additional needs are encouraged to let it be known when booking their appointment.

Family and friends gathered at the refurbished Finley Lions Club room on Saturday, February 10 to help Anne Beazley celebrate her 80th birthday.
There were about 60 guests, with some travelling from as far as New Zealand to be here for the special occasion.
The delicious luncheon was, of course, catered for by Anne herself with the assistance of the family.
This is a lady of many talents and is well known for her contribution to community activities.
Rumour has it the celebrations continued well into the night and the following day with many of the guests staying at her home.
