The Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn is hosting Carols in the Park on Sunday, December 10 at the Sound Shell in Goulburn Park on Trevan St.
Events committee secretary Regina Young said the Lions had organised a fun-filled day, with performances, food vans and an appearance from Santa Claus himself.
“Our events committee has been working with the combined churches of Seymour to stage this with the assistance of the shire as well,” she said.
“There will be an early start at 4pm with lots of pre-show entertainment.
“We can’t have a carols event without a visit from Santa with lollies for the children.”
Guests can expect performances from the Mitchell Shire Concert Band, the Australian Army Band and special guest Shanae Watson from The Voice.
Free face painting will be available for kids and the young at heart.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Lions Club event without the barbecue.
Attendees can also purchase a raffle ticket on the day.
“A lot of the items on the raffle are from local businesses and their donations,” Ms Young said.
“We got a lot of businesses in town who gave us some things to donate for the raffle.”
The Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn will donate funds raised at Carols in the Park to two kindergartens in Seymour.
