It was the second of its kind off the back of the committee’s first Business Breakfast in April, and was designed to bring together like-minded individuals to discuss how to better the Kyabram business landscape.
This session was hosted by Tim Nelson and featured property development expert Craig Easton, who shared wisdom from his 40-year career, discussing both challenges and triumphs in business.
Mr Easton’s exceptional home designs and business acumen with Easton Group earned him the prestigious Master Builder of the Year award in 2021.
Committee member Peter Nelson said Kyabram had an abundance of local talent from which businesses could unlock a treasure trove of knowledge, and a gathering such as this was the perfect way to create opportunities to listen and learn.
The second business breakfast was well received by its over 100 attendees.

“As Craig put it — never stop learning, and take advice from people that have done it,” Mr Nelson said.
He aims for the event to nurture a spirit of collaboration and optimism among Kyabram’s business community.
“(The event) was all about people, communication and giving things a go,” he said.
The committee plans to continue this successful business breakfast series, aiming to showcase more local talent and inspire businesses in the coming years.
Mr Nelson thanked the committee members for their time organising the event, the sponsors, including Campaspe Shire Council and Bendigo Bank, and the Kyabram Club for hosting the event.
“It’s hopefully something the business community of Kyabram will embrace far into the future,” he said.
