It is one of the five longest-running rodeos in Australia, and event secretary Filipa Marshall said it was expected to draw about 4500 people this year.
Friday’s event kicks off the weekend’s tri-series events, serving as the opening leg before the action continues to events in Merrijig and Chiltern.
Fans can expect an action-packed program, including bull riding, barrel racing, saddlebronc, bareback, team roping and junior events.
Bringing something new to the schedule this year, organisers will open gates at 3pm, giving families plenty of time to explore, with the main rodeo action starting at 7pm.
Beyond the excitement at the arena, the event will feature food stalls, western gear, country clothing and show bags all available for purchase, as well as a VIP experience for those looking to mark the 80-year legacy in style.
General admission tickets are priced at $40 for adults and $75 for families, while children 12 years and under can enter for free.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs for the best viewing experience, as seating will not be provided at the venue.
