At one stage 6/31 chasing Echuca’s 8/196, Cooma led by number nine batsman Tom Guerra fought it out to reach a respectable 143.
Guerra made an unbeaten 45 and got support from Shaun McAllister (15) and Ben Napier (19) after skipper Jake Kelly with 24 had stood his ground earlier as wickets crashed around him.
Matt Hinks was again the star of the Echuca innings, making 91 with nine fours and three sixes.
He had a 130-minute stay at the crease and received most support from his brother Charlie Hicks with 30.
Cooma’s opening bowler Xavier Fawcett with 2/20 off nine overs was the pick of the Cooma bowlers who had only one other multiple wicket taker in Liam Scopelliti.
Rylea Jones was the bowler to rock Cooma early, taking the first three wickets to fall and finishing with a matchwinning 6/31 off 8.1 overs.

Hamilton top scored with 61 with nine fours, Cairns made 44 with five fours and two sixes, while Chakabva finished with an unbeaten 29.

New ball bowler Simon Tatt with 4/26 off eight overs had the Moama batsmen on the back foot with Fraser Buchanan’s unbeaten 38 and Jordan McGregor’s 29 saving the side from an even more embarrassing score.
LG’s run chase started badly with key batsman Tyler Jones out for two. Only Jones’ fellow opener Josh O’Shea with 40, Simon Tatt (28) and Zeb Ellwood (15) posted double figure scores as Anthony McMahon and Jordan McGregor, both with three wickets, did the damage with the ball for Moama to bring off the win.
