90 people took part, putting their brains to the test as part of a lively fundraiser to support the school’s recovery following last year’s devastating fire.
The winning team was ‘Thelma & Louise,’ made up of a team of off-duty staff from Deniliquin North Public School.
The runner-up team was the Kookaburras, a regular team from the RSL Tuesday night trivia, who nearly stormed home to clinch the points and victory on the night.
Overall the trivia night raised around $5000 with more information about the P&C fundraising efforts following the fire to appear in an upcoming edition of the Deniliquin Pastoral Times.
P&C president Vincent Kelly gave a shout-out to Michael Pisasale, who stepped in as an MC because of a very late withdrawal due to a health issue.
He said Michael did an unbelievable job getting everyone involved and engaged.
Mr Kelly also thanked the sponsors of the evening: Edward River Council, Deniliquin Jewellers, Dahlsens Mitre 10, Dom Jansen, Brian McCleary & Co Accountants, Menadue Floor Coverings and BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park.
