Community Bank Kyabram has expanded its community investment strategy by creating a new Community Engagement Lead position to provide hands-on support to local community groups.
The bank has appointed Nattalie Joinbee to the part-time role, leveraging her diverse experience across local government, health, emergency services and community sport sectors.
Ms Joinbee has been enjoying working with community members, and is looking forward to making more ground in her job.
She will assist organisations with grant applications, project sustainability planning and resource identification.
“This role is about making sure great community ideas get off the ground with possible funding and support from Community Bank Kyabram,” she said.
Community Bank Kyabram chair Vince Curtis emphasised the bank’s commitment to community development.
“We’re serious about investing in our community, not just with dollars as a funding partner, but with people who can make things happen. It’s about creating a legacy in the long term,” he said.
Having contributed more than $300,000 in profits back to the community over nine years, the bank is now focusing on practical support.
“By resourcing this new role, we’re providing local groups access to a professional for practical support to help bring their ideas to life,” Mr Curtis said.
