A committee member said the group was holding tight, hoping for no changes in restrictions.
“We’re going for the third time lucky and really hoping we can go ahead with this one,” the committee member said.
The town garage sale was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, with many residents holding out for the chance to finally be able to de-clutter their homes and garages.
While the town has fewer than 700 residents, what it lacks in size it makes up for in gumption.
“We've had a fair bit of interest in people registering their homes, currently we’re at 25 which is pretty good for a little town,” the committee member said.
Set for Saturday, January 22, the sale will begin at 8.30am and run until 3pm.
The sale will feature a wide array of items including kitchenware, clothing and furniture.
Maps for the town-wide sale will be available for purchase for $2 from the Merrigum Cafe.
COVID-19 restrictions apply with a safety plan in play.
