MIL calls for director nominations

The current MIL board (from left) Noel Graham, Trish Gorman, Gabrielle Coupland, chair Phil Snowden, Geoff McLeod, deputy chair Lachlan Marshall, Leanne Small and Robert Burbury.

Murray Irrigation is calling for nominations from eligible individuals to fill two upcoming member director vacancies on the company’s Board of Directors.

The nomination period opened on Tuesday and closes at 5pm on Tuesday, July 29.

Eligible nominees must be either shareholders (members) of Murray Irrigation, or an authorised representative of a company which is a member of Murray Irrigation.

The nomination form, additional information regarding the requirements for prospective nominees, and information relating to the roles and responsibilities of directors, are set out on the Murray Irrigation website - www.murrayirrigation.com.au/directornominations.

The successful candidates will be appointed for a four-year term, commencing after the 2025 annual general meeting.

Murray Irrigation's board currently comprises six member directors and two non-member (independent) directors.

The vacancies arise due to the four-year terms of Phillip Snowden and Lachlan Marshall expiring this year.

The four-year rotation of these positions is a requirement of the company’s constitution.

Mr Snowden and Mr Marshall are eligible to stand again.

If more than two nominations are received, an electronic ballot will be held in September.

Written nominations must be lodged with Murray Irrigation's returning officer, either in person at the Charlotte St offices in Deniliquin, via post or companysecretary@murrayirrigation.com.au by 5pm on Tuesday, July 29.

Nominations received after this deadline will not be considered.

Postal nominations must be addressed to:
