Mother’s Day Classic at Girgarre

Australia’s biggest fun run and walk for breast cancer research was held at 75 locations — including Girgarre.

More than 1.5 million people have participated in the Mother’s Day Classic for breast cancer research in the past 26 years, donating $41.5 million to fund game-changing research.

Event organiser Kezia Talbot said her group expected to contribute $2000 to the national appeal, the fifth time the tiny community had backed the event.
