At its recent meeting, the branch of Finley and Tocumwal members agreed to support the community organisations with funds raised from the annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon, and proceeds from the Finley Show.
President Sue Escott-Braybon said the beneficiaries include Finley Golf Club, both the Finley and Tocumwal Can Assist branches, CWA Disaster Relief Fund, CWA Bush Bursary Rural Doctors Fund, Boys to the Bush, Hilltop Accommodation (Albury Cancer Accommodation), Finley High School's Hospitality faculty, Finley High School's outdoor learning area, and Betty's Place Women's Refuge Centre.
"We are fortunate to contribute a substantial amount to several worthy causes, thanks to the generosity of those who attended our luncheon, purchased raffle tickets, and supported our morning teas and lunches at the Finley Show,“ he said.
“Additional funds are available for donation to deserving causes.”
