Bringing a wealth of expertise, Ms Moran has co-designed a registered nurse leadership program, which assists overseas nursing recruits as they adapt to Australian aged care settings.
She has also spent the past five years working as an aged care consultant, helping providers with governance, workforce planning, clinical leadership and improvement planning.
“As the aged care sector continues to evolve, having someone of Penny’s experience and practical insight at the board table is incredibly valuable,” Warramunda Village chief executive John Clark said.
“She has worked across Australia helping providers navigate reform, strengthen leadership and embed sustainable systems — skills that align directly with Warramunda Village’s commitment to quality care and long‑term resilience.”
Ms Moran said she was looking forward to joining Warramunda Village at such an important time, with the master plan now in full swing and heading towards a period of enormous growth.
“What excites me about Warramunda Village is the opportunity to support a provider that is clearly committed to person‑centred care,” she said.
Ms Moran said she was particularly interested in supporting Warramunda Village as it navigated ongoing sector reform.
“The aged care environment is complex and demanding, but it also presents real opportunities,” she said.
“I hope to bring a constructive, solutions‑focused perspective to the board — one that balances compliance, workforce capability and resident experience, while always keeping people at the centre of decision‑making.
“For me, the goal is always to support safe, consistent and dignified care through strong leadership, clear accountability and continuous improvement.”
Ms Moran joins the board two months after Dale Denham and the appointment of incoming chair John Moore, who will follow long-term chair Alison Hunter’s 30-year tenure.
