This January, Dairy Australia invites you to join respected farm business consultant Tom Farran for a hands-on workshop designed to help you plan smarter and grow stronger.
Delivered in Numurkah and Tallangatta, this session will guide you through the Farm Environmental Tracker — a practical tool designed to help farmers assess their current management practices and identify opportunities for improvement across key areas of the farm system.
Throughout the workshop, Tom will step you through how to use the tool effectively, helping you build a personalised action plan that supports better soil health, stronger irrigation efficiency, improved energy use and positive animal welfare outcomes.
You will also have the chance to compare strategies with fellow farmers, share ideas, and gain clarity on where your biggest opportunities lie.
The session will cover:
- Introduction to the Farm Environmental Tracker and its on-farm benefits.
- Assessing your current practices with a whole-farm lens.
- Identifying priority actions to lift efficiency and sustainability
- Building a tailored plan for your farm business.
“This workshop helped us think more sustainably about our business,” a recent participant said.
“The tool highlighted areas to focus on, and we now have a clearer plan to improve soil health, irrigation efficiency, energy use and animal welfare. It really gave us food for thought.”
