And that’s why Ruby McMillan got two.
After initially celebrating with her family at the Deniliquin Golf Club on September 14, a second celebration was hosted at Orana last Friday - her actual birthday.
Multiple generations of Ruby’s extended family and friends attended. This included Deni High and River Region Early Education students who have met Ruby through the intergeneration program.
Orana put on a grand birthday with refreshments, cake and speeches.
Ruby is the facility’s second living centenarian, joining Russell Eames who will be 102 later this year.
