Iris Clear, Guneet Buttar and Izayiah Ryan walked away with the Principal’s Choice awards in front of 200 people at St Augustine’s College’s annual arts and design technology showcase.
Aboriginal artist Troy Firebrace was guest speaker, sharing his journey, passion for art and explaining how his culture inspired his creativity.
The People’s Choice award winners will be announced this week.
Guneet’s winning piece was a portrait of singer Billie Eilish, which she sketched and then digitised. It was one of her two pieces.
Iris’ piece, fittingly, was a sketch of an an eye with the moon and stars shining in the reflection.
Izayiah Ryan had seven pieces in the showcase and was also involved in the musical component of the event.
The choir sang and there were dance routines, while the media students also showed their skills in art design and technology.
