Students are welcome to decorate umbrellas, which have been provided by Kyabram Show secretary Filipa Marshall to the schools, as well as banners with a maximum size of 2m wide by 1m high.
Primary students can enter free on the day of the event.
There will be a competition between the schools and the winner from each age group — Prep, Year 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 — will receive a prize of $100.
Entries close on Wednesday, October 15 at 6pm and will be available to be viewed at the Kyabram Show on Saturday, October 18.
Filipa spoke about the importance of community involvement in this art exhibition and how the day would look.
“The grand plan is to have them all hanging from the roof of our pavilions,” Filipa said.
“It’s a chance for them to showcase their talents.
“Design is in the eye of the beholder.”
Filipa’s goal for this competition is to get young kids who don’t often get to show their artistic talents to work in teams to create a joint piece.
If you wish for your school to participate, contact Filipa on 0499 656 075.
