The Sydney Writers’ Festival will be live-streamed at libraries across the Goulburn Valley this week, showcasing some of the world’s finest writers and thinkers.
From Thursday, May 25 to Saturday, May 27, Goulburn Valley Libraries will be live-streaming the festival’s events.
Attendees can participate in live Q&A sessions.
Some of the big-name authors appearing at the festival include Jane Harper, Booker prize-winning author Eleanor Catton and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Colson Whitehead.
Other sessions include discussions about the future of politics and the First Nations Voice to Parliament with prominent media figures such as Barrie Cassidy, Stan Grant and Laura Tingle, and the sharing of queer stories with well known LGBTQIA+ writers.
All of the sessions are free, with bookings only required for a select few, and attendees can participate in live Q&A sessions by sending their questions and thoughts straight to the Sydney stage via SMS.
Library locations include Cobram, Euroa, Mooroopna, Nagambie, Nathalia, Numurkah, Shepparton, Tatura, Violet Town and Yarrawonga.
Different live-streamed sessions are available at different locations, so to see the full program, visit the Goulburn Valley Libraries website or call 1300 374 765.
