Tim Tamlin will return as interim chief executive officer of the Campaspe shire on December 19, less than two months after the appointment of Pauline Gordon to the top job.
Before you jump to conclusions, Ms Gordon is not involved in any sort of Essendon Football Club CEO-style scenario and will return to the role on January 18.
Council appointed Ms Gordon to the CEO role in September and she started on October 24, replacing Mr Tamlin after he spent three months in the temporary role after the departure of Declan Moore.
Ms Gordon had prior commitments that require her to take pre-approved leave from December 19 to January 18 and Mr Tamlin was the obvious choice to fill the role.
Council’s decision to appoint Mr Tamlin to the interim role was made to "ensure stability throughout this period’’.
