The organisation’s longest serving chaplain, Mrs Spicer was presented with a plaque to honour her dedicated school and community service over her quarter-century of pastoral leadership.
Korus Connect chief executive Dawn Penney said the organisation was celebrating her unwavering commitment, leadership and long-running service.
“Liz is dynamic and engaging — determined yet so full of joy,” she said.
“She’s a natural encourager who leads through example, inspiring those around her to live with purpose and kindness.”
Beyond the school gates, Ms Penney said Mrs Spicer’s influence extended to the wider Kyabram community, helping to foster belonging and resilience.
For Mrs Spicer, her role has always been about today and tomorrow, as there is still much to be done for many people.
“For me, it has been an absolute privilege to walk alongside people in their everyday journeys,” she said.
“To listen to them, to really hear what they are saying, and to then support them, and hopefully celebrate with them.”
While the recognition was “deeply humbling,” Mrs Spicer said it was ultimately a celebration of the communities she had the joy of serving.
