After much of southern Australia was drenched on Sunday, August 9, the Goulburn River experienced minor flooding, which caused the closure of Watt Rd.

The road, which runs from Kialla to Mooroopna, was closed on Wednesday, August 12 and reopened on Tuesday, August 18.
The river height peaked at 10.10m between the evening of Thursday, August 13 and the early hours of Friday, August 14.
This was 60cm above the minor flood level of 9.50m.
A minor flood warning remains in place for the Goulburn River downstream of Shepparton.
