Get your inner ninja warrior ready — the hustle and bustle of the floating playground demands fun, fitness, friends and family to get the most out of the Moama waterfront attraction.
“We’re really excited to be opening up again this year, hopefully at a larger capacity,” owner Jayne Bares said.
The floating playground is open for anyone above the age of three with life jackets available for all, and one main prerequisite: knowing how to swim.
“We’ve got everyone from three-year-olds to 103-year-olds coming on the park,” Ms Bares said.
“Kids with great-grandparents, families, anyone of any age.”
With three-hour sessions priced at $25 per person, the floating playground is already receiving bookings for the coming months.
The park is also getting ready to unveil a revamp, with a whole lot of new parts and obstacles just in time for the warmer days.
“We’re changing the look of it as well as having some new things for people to do,” Ms Bares said.
As part of the refresh, more play areas for smaller children have been included in the introduction of another main piece — the Jungle Joe.
“The Jungle Joe’s really tall and like a floating jungle gym, you can jump and play around on it,” Ms Bares said.
“It’s bigger than anything else we’ve got here, so it’s exciting to have that one.”
Aqua Island is at 1725 Perricoota Rd, Moama, and is open until mid-April.
