Kyabram District Health Service has been running bike repair workshops across the region.
With National Ride2School day approaching, the communities of Girgarre and Stanhope are invited to attend a free session in their respective town.
Tongala and Kyabram’s sessions have been held over the past week.
People who come along to the workshops can learn the basics of bike repair and maintenance to make sure they’re ready to ride to school or work any day.
“We want kids to be able to know how to fix their wheels if they get a puncture,” Rochester Sports Power team member Chanal Hartshorne said.
“Bindis are the main problem and if kids can fix the hole on their own, it’s less pressure on the parents.”
There are two sessions to go on Wednesday, March 20, one at Girgarre Primary School, Winter Rd, from 3.45pm to 4.30pm, the other at Stanhope Primary School, 48 Midland Hwy, from 5pm to 5.45pm.
