Flynn Burrows:LANDSCAPER AND LAWN MOWER “Since I lived outside of town, I have enjoyed mowing the lawn and helping to landscape our house. During lockdown we had a landscaper come and work at our house, which I found really cool. After he left we had to put rocks down along the path and I really enjoyed that. Every time the lawn needs mowing I beat my dad to the mower. I love the satisfaction of running over a stick and hearing the crunching noise.’’
Sebastian Greely:AFL FOOTBALLER “When I grow up I want to play in the AFL for a long time, for the same amount of time as Robert Harvey (St Kilda’s dual Brownlow medallist, 383 games and eight-time All-Australian), because it would be amazing to experience playing on some of the most famous grounds like the MCG and Marvel Stadium. Also because it would be great to have people all over Australia knowing your name.’’
Vika Yarigin:VETERINARIAN “I have wanted to be a vet since I was five. I have always loved animals and our family lives on a farm, so we have lots of pets. Cats are my favourite. I was inspired to become a vet by seeing animals in the zoo and even though I like domestic animals, working in a zoo would be great. My favourite zoo is Werribee and I have imagined myself working with big cats. Even though I want to be a vet, my teacher Mr Ross always says ”in a world where you can be anything, be a good person“.
Tayla Starling:BIOMEDICAL SCIENTIST “I want to pursue this career in the hope of finding a cure for major diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s. I choose this career because many people have died because of these diseases. Being a biomedical scientist could mean I help stop major diseases from taking people’s lives. The thought of finding a cure for any of these diseases would mean the world to me.”
Stephanie Locke:SMALL BUSINESS OWNER “When I get older, I want to start my own business, something that will occupy my crazy, energetic mind and something I will enjoy. If starting a business doesn’t work out I would consider being an actress, because I feel it would be a rewarding career to make people happy through what I have created. Being able to create a new persona would be great and allow you to escape. I am excited to see what awaits me in the future.’’
