Resurfacing works on the Hume Freeway will mean a full closure of the southbound lanes of the Hume Freeway from the Wallan off-ramp through to Donnybrook Road in Kalkallo.
Plan and allow for at least 25 minutes of additional travel time as you move through the area via the signed detours.
These essential works will involve resurfacing the road to maintain its condition and are necessary to prevent further degradation.
Crews will work continuously from 9pm Friday, April 19, to 5am Monday, April 22, and 9pm Friday, May 3, to 5am Monday, May 6, weather permitting, to minimise disruption to the community.
There will be no works across the Anzac Day weekend.
Contractors will set up for the weekend of works from 6pm each Friday.
The southbound lanes will be closed to traffic from 9pm each Friday.
Road users that reach the Wallan off-ramp before 9pm can continue to travel along the southbound lanes of the Hume Freeway as usual.
Road maintenance requires dry, temperate weather conditions when removing and re-laying the road surface and these planned dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions.
