Nagambie police were kept busy with two car thefts, a stolen car found and car break-ins all on one night.
Police said a Nissan Navara was stolen from outside a Nagambie house overnight on Sunday, May 18.
It was found 72 hours later in Melbourne.
The Navara had a lot of horse-riding gear in it when it was taken.
The gear was found dumped on a vacant block in Nagambie, and has since been returned to its owner.
Also on the same vacant block was a white Toyota Camry that had been stolen from Seymour the previous night, police said.
On the same night, a Toyota HiLux was stolen from Allure Estate in Nagambie.
Police said the vehicle was found dumped only a few hundred metres from where it was stolen.
The vehicle had been rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
Garage door remotes were allegedly stolen from another vehicle that was left unlocked, while yet another car was broken into, and “assorted items taken”, according to police.
Three people were assisting police with their inquiries on some of these matters.
