Man airlifted after workplace incident

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said a specialist Air Ambulance helicopter crew and Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance and Advanced Life Support paramedic crews attended the scene to assess and treat one patient.

A man in his 20s was airlifted in a serious condition to The Alfred Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said WorkSafe was notified and would investigate the incident.

“WorkSafe inspectors have responded and are making inquiries to determine what further action is required,” a WorkSafe spokesman said.
