A Melbourne man has been arrested as part of investigations into an alleged drug network with links to Shepparton.
Shepparton Divisional Response Unit and Viper squad police searched a house in the Melbourne suburb of Fraser Rise on Wednesday, October 1.
Sergeant Shaun-Maree Brock said the search followed the seizure of a large quantity of drugs in Shepparton in September.
The Melbourne search is part of an investigation into an alleged drug network, with several people arrested in the Shepparton area in September in relation to it.
A 28-year-old Fraser Rise man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of cocaine, trafficking a commercial quantity of cocaine, attempting to traffic firearms, possessing prescription medication and possessing steroids.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 2.
