A fire in the backyard of a Shepparton unit is being treated as suspicious by police.
Firefighters were called to the unit on the corner of Vaughan and Archer Sts at 5.40pm on Saturday, February 28.
Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters arrived on the scene within four minutes and the incident was deemed under control at 5.49pm.
Police said there was extensive damage to the backyard, and also smoke damage inside the house.
No-one was home at the time of the fire.
The intersection of Vaughan and Archer Sts was restricted to one lane of traffic while firefighters extinguished the fire.
Police said the fire was being treated as suspicious.
