After winning the toss and batting Fire Brigade assembled a competitive score of 228 on the back of a fine innings from Brenton Campbell, who made 74.
Campbell faced 119 balls and occupied the wicket for 174 minutes.
Campbell and opener Jesse Barker, who was at the crease for 152 minutes in making 43, were able to steady the Flames, who were a floundering 3/28 at one stage, in a crucial 61-run stand for the fourth wicket.
Campbell was the sixth man out, when the score was 164. Then Jack Gascoyne (30), Ryan Thomson (21), Rob Salter (15) and Chris Eddy (17) boosted the Flames’ score to a decent 228.
Angus Martin with 3/40 off 15.5 overs did the most damage with the ball for Rochester.
Rochester never really challenged the Brigade score on Sunday and was dismissed for 115, mainly through a combined attack from Flames bowlers Jarrod Chapman and Kane Herbert.
In inspired spells Chapman followed up his six-wicket semi-final haul with 4/26 off a marathon 22 overs while Herbert ripped through Rochester’s middle order to take 4/19 off 19 overs.
For Rochester Charlie Ryan top scored with 34 and opener Tim Bubb got 27 but the Brigade bowlers dominated the day.
The Brigade’s successful previous seasons in the competition were in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2017-18.
The Flames have won this year’s flag with a new coach, Peter Learmonth and a host new faces, which looks promising for the future of the club.
