Herbert has just won Kyabram’s best-and-fairest, and has been one of the club’s most influential players since his first year in 2021.
The on-baller was also a playing co-coach for the Bombers between 2024 and 2026, and the umpires named him best on ground in the 2025 GVL grand final — which Ky won.
It’s a major off-season move for Moama, which is clearly intent on revamping its list after missing finals in 2026.
Alongside Herbert, the Mowers have also announced Storm Giri, Max Corbyn and Jeremiah Stanford as new signings this off-season.
“Kaine is excited about embracing a new challenge and looking forward to helping develop our talented young players to achieve their potential,” Moama said in its Facebook post announcing Herbert’s signing.
“With a proven ability to impact games, Kaine will be an exciting addition to our senior playing group for the 2027 season.”
