Rovers fourths opened the season with a convincing victory against an undermanned Mathoura team.
Taj McCully, Ryan Bulmer and Sam Strong were playing well in the midfield, gaining many clearances.
Small forwards Jed Fitzmaurice, Cal Leiper and Jett Boyer were running riot kicking multiple goals each.
Lucas Braybon and Ged O’Donnell were playing well in the ruck.

In the second half, Carter Sartore switched to centre-half forward and kicked seven goals to be one of the best players.
