In the second match-up between the two Kyabram sides in GM3, the Redbacks were looking to bounce back from the five-game loss earlier in the season. The match-up would likely decide who would get a double chance when the finals come around. The Bombers got off to a strong start, securing the first set of the clash with a hard-fought 8-5 victory for Mitchell Cox and Evan Cooknell. It was the ladies’ doubles pair of Abby Prycroft and Alyssa Christou that broke the game open with an 8-2 victory and the sibling pairing of Zane and Taylor Sutton combined for a solid 8-3 victory. These matches set the tone for the Bombers, who went on to not drop a set against an injury-hit Redbacks side. The star of the day was Alyssa Christou, who only conceded six games for the day, combining with Taylor Sutton for an 8-1 victory and Mitchell Cox for an 8-3 victory. Taylor Sutton and Abby Prycroft also combined for a strong 8-3 victory. In the end the margin was 42 games, leaving the Bombers one win away from securing the minor premiership and an undefeated regular season. The Bombers will take on the Euroa Unicorns, who sit 12th on the ladder, whereas the Redbacks will be looking to bounce back against the ninth-placed Tatura Custers prior to the finals campaign.
GM4 Open Kyabram Bombers 9-72 defeated Shepparton North
In what shaped as potential finals match-up, the Bombers looked to get back-to-back wins against Shepparton North. The Bombers, who have really hit their stride in recent weeks, showed again that they are going to be right there in the fight for back-to-back premierships. The standout on the day was Amy Harrison, who only dropped four games, winning a pair of 8-1 sets with Perry Jackson and Michael Argaet as well as an 8-2 victory with Max Hausler. Argaet and Hausler also combined for a resounding 8-1 victory. In the end, the Bombers had far too much depth for the Shepparton North side, which has fallen to sixth, three points outside the top four and a finals place. The Bombers are sitting pretty in third, unable to move up or down the ladder, so will be waiting to see who their opponent is in the first round of the finals. The Bombers will look to round out their preparation for the finals with a derby against the Kyabram Redbacks next week.
GM4 Open Kyabram Redbacks 5-56 defeated Cobram Crickets 4-51
Despite being out of finals contention, the Redbacks were looking to continue their improved form in the back half of the season against a Cobram side they were able to get the better of earlier in the season. Young gun Mackenzie Donaldson set the tone for the team, securing an 8-2 victory with Lachlan Rodriquez, before an 8-2 victory with Rachael Costello and 8-3 victory with Luke Motton. The size of these margins gave the Redbacks a good buffer against the visitors. Rachael Costello and Lachlan Rodriques then combined for an 8-5 victory themselves and then Luke Motton and Hugh Cunningham combined for the closest set of the day, securing a tight 8-7 victory. The Redbacks managed to secure a hard-fought five-game victory, which was the Redbacks’ fourth of the season. The win moves the Redbacks up two positions on the ladder to ninth with a match-up against cross-town rivals Kyabram Bombers to round out their season.

GM2 finishes regular season with a heat out
In GM2 Kyabram unfortunately had its last match-up ‘heated out’ as the temperature got above 38°C in Numurkah. This effectively ended the regular season for the Bombers, with a bye in the final round. Sharing points means with other results the Bombers have fallen out of the top two now, meaning the Bombers will have to chase a premiership the long way round after four no results due to heat this season.
