In a great boon for both local bowling clubs and the town, all five Campaspe Weekend Pennant preliminary finals will be played in Deniliquin tomorrow.

Play will be across both local bowling greens.
The Deniliquin Bowling Club will host Moama versus Mathoura in Division One.
The Division Two contest between Moama and Rich River will also be played at the Deni Bowling Club, and the clash between Moama and Deni RSL in Division Four.
Over the road at the Deni RSL Bowls Club, it will be Stanhope taking on Echuca in Division Three and the Division Five contest between Moama Black and Echuca.
It promises to be a day of quality bowls and both clubs hope that a good local crowd will attend, especially to cheer on the Deni RSL side, which is the last remaining hope of the town.
One in, one out for DBC Midweek
It was a day of mixed fortunes when both Deniliquin Bowling Club Midweek Pennant teams contested the preliminary finals at Rich River on Tuesday.
Division One tried hard all day against Moama, but the opposition always seemed to have the answers on their way to a 62-53 victory.
Andrew Holloway, Rob Morris, Craig Hillier and Conway Bovell (skip) fell seven shots short when they were defeated 17 shots to 24.
Terry Taylor, Tony Danckert, John Flisher and Steve O’Brien (s) were always in the contest, but couldn’t create a buffer before claiming a 17-all draw.
It was a similar story for Dawn McCulloch, Chris Taylor, Joanne Bovell and Mark Quor(s) when they went down 17-19, meaning Moama prevailed by the overall nine-shot margin.
This side should be well pleased, if not satisfied, with their season, especially in the second half when they got their mojo going.
The good news story for the day was when Division Three cruised to a thumping 27 shot win over Echuca and into a place in the grand final.
They will be pitted against friends and neighbours, albeit arch rivals, Deni RSL at Rochester next Tuesday.
Alan Hardcastle called the shots for John Murray, Joy McArthur and Tony King, who came from a seemingly impossible position when trailing 5-16 with only five ends to play.
However, they picked up 13 shots after that, while only conceding two, to come from the clouds to claim an 18-all draw.
Brenda Leetham, Robyn Little, Ken Salter and Mark Law (s) were considerably more comfortable all contest when they thrashed their rivals, 34 shots to seven, and claimed the overall victory by that margin.
Division Three has retained an unchanged line-up for the final, with the bus leaving at 7.30am.
Div Two Diggers bow out of Midweek
The RSL Diggers Division Two Midweek Pennant side is out of the finals following a 28 shot loss to Stanhope in Tuesday’s preliminary final at Rich River.
The Diggers went down on all three rinks to a polished and determined Stanhope side.
Stanhope 69 def RSL 41.
Our Division Three side has already qualified for the Midweek Grand Final next Tuesday at Rochester.
They will meet Deniliquin Bowling Club in a real ‘local derby.’
The weekend focus is now on our Saturday Division Four side, who play Moama the Deniliquin Bowling Club in the preliminary final.
Best wishes to all the Diggers still in the finals race.
Mathoura seek grand final berth
If Mathoura’s Division One side can steam roll Moama in Deniliquin tomorrow, they will be headed to the Campaspe Division grand final.
The Cutters earned their spot in the preliminary finals after a win against Deniliquin Bowling Club on Saturday, 60-42 overall.
The Mathoura rink of Ricky Ireland, Dennis McHarry, Peter Pangrazio and Peter Holzer (skip) had a one point thriller over Deni, 18-17.
The margin was a little wider when Brett Quilty, Lindsay Franklin, Arthur Murphy and Mick Humphreys won 21-12.
Similar results were achieved when Jason McCloy skipped Helen Holzer, Paul Clear and David Kicks to a 21-13 victory.
