Lockington-Bamawm 1 kept in touch with the Division 1 top four with a hard-fought win over fellow finals aspirant Echuca 3 on Saturday.
LBU’s 14-game win means it remains just one game behind fourth-place Echuca 2 with three games remaining in the season.
LBU 2 was tasked with quelling Rich River 1 over the weekend, but found the going tough in its 1-53 to 12-95 defeat.
The only set victory of the day came through Ian and Melissa Haines in the final mixed doubles, 8-3.
Elmore 1’s momentum was halted by the unbeaten Echuca 1, with the latter passing the 100-game mark in a lopsided encounter for a final score of 13-100 to 0-34.
Meanwhile, Rochester 1 chalked up its third win on the spin, victorious by 29 games over Echuca 2.
Jaycob Dingwall and Rachael Major led the way, winning all their sets for the day as Rochester maintained its grip on third on the Division 1 ladder.
