Cooma remains without a win in the Goulburn Murray Cricket Women’s competition falling to a nine wicket defeat to Bamawm-Lockington United in round eight.

The host at Cooma Recreation Reserve won the toss and elected to bat first, but found the going tough in the face of the Lions’ attack.
The BLU bowlers made things easy for their batters, dismissing Cooma for 54.
Emma Beal was a constant threat with the ball, taking 4-7, and Daneika Hucker was also in good touch with 3-9.

Sienna Brennan held firm with a 52-ball 16 not out, while Jorja Tranter (14) was the only other Cooma batter to mark double figures.
Number nine Jarrah Griffiths faced 32 deliveries before being the last dismissed, extending the innings with a strong defensive focus.
The BLU chase was measured and effective.

After losing Liz Chapman for eight, Bree Styles (27 retired not out) and Amy Fitzgerald (15 not out) steadied the ship and worked their side to the target.
Ruby Brentall was only required for one ball before the winning runs were struck.
Sienna Brennan (1-9) was the lone wicket-taker for Cooma.
Cooma is winless this season, while BLU picked up its second victory of the campaign.
Rochester leads the competition so far with a 5-1 record, followed by Moama.
Next week, in the final round before the Christmas break, Cooma will visit the league leader, while BLU will be on the road in Nathalia.
