Even though our girls didn’t come up with the win, they ensured the Rovers didn’t earn it too easily.
Defenders Monique Harrington and Ella Arnold again proved to our opposition that they are a duo to be reckoned with.
Our intensity and pressure created many turnovers for us.
Ava Belling, Georgia Belling, Keshia Marshall and Meagan Mauger worked well as a team, creating a great passage of plays into our attacking end.
Eden Hercus and Ellie Marshall had a tough day in the office in the ring, with Rovers having a tall and strong defence.
But the girls stood strong and remained confident.
We look forward to next week’s game, where we will be stronger again.

The Demons put up a mighty fight against the strong Deni side.
Goalers Isabella Westwood and Eden Hercus worked well under tough conditions, with accurate shooting and fantastic rebounding.
Midcourters Heidi Bryce, Siarne Deeves and Ruby Neessen worked well with strong drives and feeding into the ring.
Our defensive end was where the magic was happening, with Bec Billing, Elise Watson, Toni Shaw and our debut player, Shikaya Hall, causing havoc.
The girls were able to pick up any loose balls and built a tremendous amount of pressure on the opposition, causing many turnovers.
We love seeing the girls improve each week, and let’s hope for a win in the next round.

C-grade fell short against Deniliquin, but put up a good fight throughout the game.
It’s great to see the team coming together and the ladies showing so much improvement throughout the weeks.

C-reserve: Jerilderie 6 def by Deni Rovers 41.
Round five saw Jerilderie come up against Deni Rovers in what we knew would be a tough match.
Despite this, the girls made them work for their points and fought hard to the end.
With a strong defence, the girls added pressure every time the opposition had the ball, forcing some errors and proving we weren’t going down without a fight.
The girls’ energy helped us get some points on the board, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to take down Deni.
Every week, the girls are improving and working better as a team.
We look forward to our next match against Katunga to see what these girls can do.

It was a close game between the girls.
Shikaya Hall and Miley Conn showed great defence in the ring against Deni.
The mid-court was run well by the girls, who showed great teamwork throughout the game.
The team can take a lot away from the game to bring into our next game.

Under-15s: Jerilderie 22 def by Deni Rovers 69.
It was a tough day at the office against a very well-drilled Rovers side
After a slow start in the first quarter, the team acquitted themselves well to be competitive for the next three quarters.
Tilley Anthony led the defence with some great rebounds.
She was well supported by Grace Cameron, who played out of her normal position, and Sama Swaid, who came up from the under-13s to help out along with Jacinta Eldridge.
Our captains, Ruby Neessen and Zara Williams, battled hard all game and Chelsea Hibbert and Stella Williams did likewise.
The team is improving each week, and some good results will be just around the corner.

Under-13s: Jerilderie 5 def by Deni Rovers 49.
Saturday was a tough game against Deni for the girls.
They displayed great skills and didn’t give up.
Sama Swaid, Ivy Conn and Lexie Bryce put up a great defence against a strong team.
Pippa Shaw ran her heart out and showed how high she could jump against the tall Deni side.
Jacinta Eldridge and Lexie Hines worked well together in the ring, getting a few shots against some strong defenders.

It was another challenging game for our youngest Demons against a team of all top-age players.
The girls fought out the game till the end and gave it their all.
Everyone worked hard on their defensive skills and made leads while attacking.
All the girls are showing great improvements every week and having lots of fun along the way.
