Openers Miller Griffiths with 44 and Tim Nelson (29), got The Flames away to a positive start, and then Bohden Learmonth (21) and Brett Andison with a swashbuckling 44 off 40 balls with four fours and three sixes, kept the runs coming before Cohen Hooper (19 not out) and Sean Dillon (13 not out) gave the total a late surge with a handy 32 runs stand.
In reply, LG reached 6/175 with opener and star bat Tyler Jones top scoring with 61 with three fours and three sixes.
Jones got most support from Harry White (30) Jason Keath (30 not out) and Simon Tatt (25), but LG was always behind the run rate required to win.
Spinner Kaine Herbert with 3/40 off nine overs was Brigade’s most successful bowler.
The Flames have the bye this Saturday and then face must win games against Echuca and Tongala in the remaining home-and-away games to be a chance to play finals.

BLU bowlers Jeremy Felmingham with 4/15 off nine overs and Thomas Dicker with 3/0 wound up the Tongala innings in 40 overs.
In reply, BLU had some anxious moments covering the Tongala total, but gradually got there through the efforts of Luke Thompson with a half century, which included 11 boundaries, and 34 from opener Kade Pearse got them over the line comfortably.
