Brennan, batting at number three, arrived at the crease just four balls into the innings, after her team had restricted Echuca to a 4-77 total from its 20 over allocation.
Batters in the girls under-14 competition are allocated 20 deliveries before forced retirement and are then allowed to return, if there is time, at the end of their team’s innings.
Brennan hit three boundaries in her 15 runs, from 13 deliveries, before she was bowled in the sixth over of the innings.
She had late support from Lexie Cottrell, who was not out five at the end of the Kyabram innings.
A massive 44 extras contributed to the Kyabram victory as Echuca bowlers struggled to hit the pitch at Tongala’s Brose Reserve.
Four Echuca batters faced their 20 deliveries, but it was only Chloe Moyle (not out 21) that managed to reach double figures.
The Flamettes also struggled with their bowling, delivering 28 extras, as Echuca scored at almost four runs an over.
Brennan allowed only seven runs from her two overs, while Sophie Norris and Zenah Moulsdale were the wicket takers for Kyabram.
Kyabram is due to return to Brose Reserve next round for its Sunday afternoon match against the combined Rochester-Moama team.
– Kyabram won its B-grade GMC match with Moama on forfeit and will this Sunday compete against Rochester at the Kyabram Recreation Reserve.
