Following a successful allocation of $192,000 for the oval fence, coaching boxes, and sponsors signs through the Stronger Country Communities Fund in February this year, and the lighting upgrades in partnership with Edward River Council, the Deniliquin Rams yesterday announced this new funding from AFL NSW.
It will be used to build a permanent, state-of-the-art timekeepers’ and media box.
This will complete planned facility upgrades for the club.
Club president Ashley Hall said with the generous support of grants from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund and AFL NSW, the club is now well-positioned to deliver a state-of-the-art sporting facility for the Deniliquin community.
“We are thrilled to have obtained this additional funding, which will allow us to continue our efforts to provide the best possible facilities for our members and the wider community,” he said.
“The new timekeepers’ and media box will greatly enhance the functionality of our club, ensuring accurate game timing and efficient management.”
“By completing the oval fencing, lighting upgrades, and now the timekeepers’ and media box, we are well on our way to establishing the Deniliquin Rams facilities as a regional sporting hub.
“This funding initiative is a major step towards achieving our goal of delivering a cutting-edge facility that will elevate the sporting experience for everyone involved.”
The club’s funding application emphasised the significance of the project in meeting the requirements of the community and strengthening the club’s status as a regional sporting hub.
